MACOMB, Ill. – Bradley Baseball dropped its midweek matchup on Tuesday afternoon, falling 12-7 to Western Illinois at Alfred D. Boyer Stadium.
Early Deficit Too Much to Overcome
Bradley found itself playing from behind early as Western Illinois struck for two runs in both the first and second innings to take a 4-0 lead. The Braves began to chip away, highlighted by a solo home run from Anthony Martinez in the third and a two-run fourth inning that trimmed the deficit to one.
Bradley evened the game in the sixth behind an RBI single from Colin McCormick and aggressive baserunning that led to a run scoring on a steal of home.
