As we approach Opening Day in about two weeks, we're starting to see some stirring from the Rays front office. Multiple players have already been sent to minor league camp in hopes that they'll get a head start in their 2026 home stadium. Uceta's injury timeline was mostly precautionary as the Dominican reliever was set to join his home country's team as they seek another World Baseball Classic championship. The 28-year-old was noticeably disappointed for missing this electric tournament with a one-of-a-kind team, but he expressed the necessity of ensuring that he'll be ready for Opening Day.
